9月14日 NUS 110th Event “Migration and the Asian Workforce”公開討論。9月23日午後8時よりChannel NewsAsiaにて放映。

“Migration and the Asian Workforce” scheduled on Monday, 14 September.
The session will be held at the Vista, University Hall, Lee Kong Chian Wing, Level 7.

Registration will begin at 1.15pm.
There will be a briefing conducted by Channel NewsAsia before the recording begins.

Filmed on-site at our Bukit Timah and Kent Ridge campuses, these episodes will touch on issues close to the hearts of Singaporeans as NUS celebrates its 110th year of founding together with Singapore’s 50th year of independence.
Participate in robust discussions. Hear insights from our panel of NUS academics and thought leaders from Singapore and the region. Pose questions on topics that include how the nation will progress over the next 50 years, the future of healthcare and education, entrepreneurship, as well as migration trends.

Countries like Japan and Singapore are facing a rapidly ageing population and a shrinking workforce. Transnational migration has helped mitigate these challenges, but at a cost. What is the impact of these trends for the Asian workforce? How will this affect social cohesion and national identity?
